I have been married to my college sweetheart, Lesley, for 28 years.  Our son, Derek, recently graduated from college with a degree in computer graphics and design and is working as a Web assistant.  My daughter, Leanne, attends Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  Her major is chemistry and her goal is to enter medical school and one day to become a physician.

I have been a small business owner for most of my life.  In college, I had a window cleaning business with lots of accounts.  I had more money than any other college student I knew.  I have been a professional salesperson since graduating college and have sold postage scales, mailing machines and printing equipment.  For the past 26 years, I have been a life and health insurance agent and broker with my own health insurance independent agency in Southern California since 1994.  To provide the best advice to my clients, I am proud to hold two advanced insurance designations, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.

I sincerely believe it is important to treat everyone with respect. The best experience I can offer to my clients is that they feel as if I truly understand their needs and concerns and can help them through the complicated world of health insurance.  I often have people tell me, “You have explained this in a way that I can understand it.  You have made a subject that was confusing to me much easier to grasp.”

My clients stay with me for a long time.  They are comfortable with my easy style and cheerful, optimistic outlook.  I see myself as a spiritual person who happens to be in the insurance business.  We all need to look out for one another and give every other human being we meet a helping hand and a friendly smile.

When not working, I spend my time in various family and community activities.  Over the years, Lesley and I have been very involved as scout leaders and with the Rotary Club.  My favorite personal activities include listening to classical music, reading and meditation.   A few years ago, my wife and I remodeled and we now live in our dream home. One of my favorite places at home is our koi pond.  It is relaxing to sit in my new back yard.
